Customer portal for insurance information
Techniek Nederland Verzekeringen wanted to give customers easier access to up-to-date policy information, documents, and relationship data. It also needed to be possible to configure different user roles and rights for each customer.
With SiliconCode, a customer portal was developed where customers can securely view and manage their insurance information. The solution offers a central environment for policy data, documents, and user management.
Challenge: Minimizing manual tasks
Techniek Nederland Verzekeringen works with clients who may have multiple contact persons and user roles. The organization wanted to offer these clients their own digital environment in which they have direct access to their insurance information.
It was important that the client portal be set up securely, clearly, and scalably. Clients needed to be able not only to view policy details and documents but also to manage users within their organization themselves.
Customer portal with rights and roles per customer
With SiliconCode, a customer portal has been developed in which customers gain access to their own insurance information. An administrator can be set up per customer organization to grant colleagues access to the portal.
Within the portal, roles and rights can be assigned per user. This allows the customer to determine who is allowed to view which policies and documents. This ensures overview, control, and a secure setup of the digital service.

Import contact details & send invitations
Contacts are retrieved via company-based synchronization. As a result, existing contact details are available in the customer portal and do not need to be manually re-entered.
Contacts can easily be invited from the portal via an automatic welcome email. Upon receipt, users can activate their account and gain access to the correct environment.
Retrieving policy data from DIAS
Policy information and documents are retrieved from the external system DIAS and clearly displayed in the customer portal.
To avoid unnecessarily burdening the external system, a nightly synchronization has been chosen. When a new company is created, the relevant data is retrieved immediately and subsequently included in the next synchronization.
What the customer portal delivers
Centralized insight into insurance information: Customers have access to up-to-date policy information and documents in one place.
Secure management of roles and rights: For each customer organization, it is clearly regulated who has access to which information.
Reduced manual entry: Relationship details, policy details, and documents are made available via synchronizations.
